After this Mikee spawned many visionary projects from 2007 to 2011, he played in a band named The Painted Smiles and before that Sad Season. Mikee announced he was to leave the band and played as what the final SikTh show of that decade on September 14th 2007. In promotion of Opacities a music video for the song "Philistine Philosophies" was released on 2 November 2015. SikTh then signed to Beiler Bros in America to record ‘Death of a Dead Day’ which was released in 2006. The album was crowd funded via PledgeMusic and was recorded without the assistance of a record label. The band announced they would begin recording a new album in summer 2015 with a release scheduled sometime in November/December. SikTh reformed in 2014 and played at Download Festival followed by a UK tour.
